I just flunked idealism,
I did not finish reading,
I refused to go by book,
Could not cook up an excuse.
I failed to theorise my thoughts,
Lost in jargon,
And misplaced metaphors.
My tastes are crass,
Though I could not acquire too much.
Always tangled between
Love and living.
My compadres deserted me,
Called me insolent and numb.
Oh! My trivial existence, Clichéd and real.

I refused to go by book,
Could not cook up an excuse.
I failed to theorise my thoughts,
Lost in jargon,
And misplaced metaphors.
My tastes are crass,
Though I could not acquire too much.
Always tangled between

Called me insolent and numb.
Oh! My trivial existence, Clichéd and real.

Another good one! Idealism is a tough one these days.
Why the picture of Marcel Duchamp?
thanks thanks..I like duchamp and his position in art. I read an interesting quote by duchamp and about his fascination with chess:
"If Bobby Fischer came to me for advice, I certainly would not discourage him - as if anyone could - but I would try to make it positively clear that he will never have any money from chess, live a monk-like existence and know more rejection than any artist ever has, struggling to be known and accepted."
this one i like the best. and ur verse flows.
thanks..nefer.. keep coming
